The LNK-AI2802-OEO-3R is an 25G OEO 3R intelligent management type OEO optical conversion repeater in the E-link AI NETWORK series. It is equipped with two SFP28/SFP+ optical ports and supports multi-rate adaptive transmission ranging from 10.3125G to 25.78125G.

Working Principle

The 25G OEO 3R Converter operates based on the OEO (Optoelectronic-to-Electrical) optical conversion architecture. One end of the optical port receives attenuated and distorted optical signals, which are then converted into electrical signals through photoelectric conversion to complete 3R processing: re-amplification to compensate for transmission loss, re-rectification to restore waveform distortion, and re-timing to correct clock offset, thereby eliminating bit errors caused by long-distance transmission; the processed standard electrical signals are then converted back to optical signals through the other end of the optical port.

The 25G OEO 3R Converter internally collects operating data such as voltage, temperature, and the transmit and receive power of the optical module, and synchronously pushes this data to the local screen and remote management terminal. It supports customizing optical power alarm thresholds, conducting loop tests to diagnose link failures, and can also be fixed with a code switch to adapt to different service standards for transmission rates.

Installation and Usage Steps

  • Hardware Assembly: Insert the SFP28/SFP+ optical modules with matching rate and wavelength into the F1 and F2 dual optical ports, connect to a 5-58V DC power supply. The green flashing of the SYS indicator light on the device indicates normal power-on; the device can be placed directly on the desktop or installed into a standard 14-slot rack with the accessories.
  • Local View: The front display screen of the device automatically scans and displays real-time parameters, including voltage, current, device temperature, TX/RX optical power of the optical modules at both ends, and the current transmission rate. Without the need for external devices, you can quickly inspect the link status.
  • Remote Management: Connect to the computer via the Type-C interface to log in to the Web management page, or scan the QR code on the device to download the E-link mobile APP. Read the complete information of the optical module’s PN/SN, DDM, configure functions such as optical power alarm, timed restart, and loop test.
  • Service Debugging: Lock the fixed rate of 10.3G/12.5G/25.59G through the DIP switch on the device body. Enable loop test to troubleshoot the fiber link break point, set the alarm threshold for received optical power, and the ALM red light will automatically alarm when the optical power is lower than the threshold.
