In long-distance optical fiber transmission, optical signals are prone to attenuation and distortion. Traditional repeater equipment has cumbersome operation and weak monitoring capabilities. E-link has independently developed the LNK-AI2802-OEO-3R intelligent 25G OEO 3R converter, which is equipped with complete 3R signal regeneration and AI visual management capabilities.

The 25G OEO 3R Converter solves the problems of optical fiber extension, wavelength conversion, and link monitoring in one step, significantly reducing the costs of network setup and operation in data centers and other facilities. It is a cost-effective repeater solution for modern high-speed optical fiber networks.
The LNK-AI2802-OEO-3R is an 25G OEO 3R intelligent management type OEO optical conversion repeater in the E-link AI NETWORK series. It is equipped with two SFP28/SFP+ optical ports and supports multi-rate adaptive transmission ranging from 10.3125G to 25.78125G.

The core feature is the 25G OEO 3R signal regeneration function. The 25G OEO 3R Converter also integrates a local display screen, Type-C management port, mobile APP + web dual remote control system, taking into account multiple functions such as signal regeneration, wavelength/single/double multimode conversion, link fault warning, and automated operation and maintenance. The entire machine has an aluminum alloy small body and supports desktop placement and centralized deployment in racks.

The 25G OEO 3R Converter operates based on the OEO (Optoelectronic-to-Electrical) optical conversion architecture. One end of the optical port receives attenuated and distorted optical signals, which are then converted into electrical signals through photoelectric conversion to complete 3R processing: re-amplification to compensate for transmission loss, re-rectification to restore waveform distortion, and re-timing to correct clock offset, thereby eliminating bit errors caused by long-distance transmission; the processed standard electrical signals are then converted back to optical signals through the other end of the optical port.

The 25G OEO 3R Converter internally collects operating data such as voltage, temperature, and the transmit and receive power of the optical module, and synchronously pushes this data to the local screen and remote management terminal. It supports customizing optical power alarm thresholds, conducting loop tests to diagnose link failures, and can also be fixed with a code switch to adapt to different service standards for transmission rates.
When high-speed optical fiber links are deployed across data centers and over long distances, signal loss and waveform distortion can easily cause service disruptions. This 25G OEO 3R Converter’s 3R regeneration capability can eliminate the errors caused by transmission losses, extend the transmission distance of a single segment of optical fiber to 80km, and simultaneously achieve interconversion between single multimode optical fiber, 1310/1550/CWDM/DWDM wavelengths. It reuses existing optical fiber resources and reduces wiring investment.
Intelligent operation and maintenance is the core advantage. No professional testing instruments are required. Three layers of visual monitoring – local screens, mobile apps, and web pages – provide comprehensive coverage, real-time detection of abnormal temperatures and optical powers, support for scheduled restarts and custom alarm mechanisms, significantly reducing the workload of manual inspections. The overall power consumption is only 1W.
This 25G OEO 3R Converter operates stably within a wide temperature range of -20℃ to 70℃. The MTBF exceeds 200,000 hours. It has passed CE, FCC, and RoHS certifications and is compatible with harsh data center environments. It supports multiple rates, including 25G fiber channels, 25G Ethernet, SDH/STM-64 mainstream network standards. The dual-rate adaptation scheme of software and hardware meets the requirements of customized networking.
This 25G OEO 3R Converter is compatible with all scenarios of high-speed fiber backbone networks. It is used for long-distance interconnection between switches within data centers, as well as for extending optical fibers for room expansion, to solve the problem of excessive cabinet distances; it serves as a wavelength conversion and signal regeneration node in metropolitan area networks (MAN) and storage local area networks (SAN), adapting to CWDM/DWDM wavelength division systems;

It is used for optical fiber link testing and loop fault diagnosis in telecommunications rooms and R&D laboratories, replacing traditional bulky testing equipment; at the same time, it supports multi-building fiber interconnection in enterprise parks, achieving seamless connection of single-mode and multi-mode optical fibers, and widely covering 25G high-speed storage, cloud computing power, and communication transmission business links.
The LNK-AI2802-OEO-3R 25G OEO 3R converter integrates three core capabilities: signal regeneration, optical fiber conversion, and AI remote operation maintenance. It strikes a balance between transmission performance and operational convenience, providing a lightweight and cost-effective solution for long-distance transmission, link monitoring, and fiber compatibility in high-speed optical fiber networks. It is the preferred equipment for the new generation of optical fiber relays in data centers, communications, and research laboratories.
